This Privacy Policy explains how the LPOS Laundry POS Android application ("the app", "we", "us") handles information. LPOS is a point-of-sale tool for laundry businesses. It is designed to be offline-first: the core app works entirely on your device and does not require an account or an internet connection.

1. Information stored on your device

When you use LPOS, the following information is created and stored locally in a database on your Android device:

• Business profile: your shop name, address (optional), and phone number (optional) as shown on receipts.
• Customer details you enter: name and phone number (optional).
• Staff details: name, username, role, and a one-way hashed PIN (the PIN itself is never stored).
• Order and payment records: job orders, weights or loads, prices, discounts, payment method (Cash/GCash/Bank Transfer), and status history.
• Inventory records: supply items, stock levels, and transaction notes.

This data stays on your device unless you choose to enable optional Cloud Sync (see Section 3).

2. Permissions we use

• Bluetooth — used only to connect to and print on thermal receipt printers. We do not use Bluetooth to collect location or track you.
• Location (Android 11 and older only) — older versions of Android require the location permission to discover nearby Bluetooth printers. We never read, store, or transmit your location. On Android 12 and newer, no location permission is requested.
• Internet — used only if you enable optional Cloud Sync.

3. Optional Cloud Sync (Pro)

Cloud Sync is off by default. If — and only if — you create a cloud account and turn it on, the app securely uploads your business data (customers, staff, orders, inventory, and business profile) over an encrypted HTTPS connection to our cloud backend so you can back it up and view it on the web dashboard. If you never enable Cloud Sync, no app data ever leaves your device.

Our cloud backend is hosted on Amazon Web Services (region: Asia Pacific, Singapore). Account authentication is handled by Amazon Cognito. We use your account email address solely to identify your account and provide the service.

4. What we do not do

• We do not include advertising, ad networks, or ad identifiers.
• We do not include third-party analytics or crash-tracking SDKs.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties.
• We do not collect your location.

5. Data security

Staff PINs are stored as one-way hashes. Cloud Sync transmits data over encrypted HTTPS. You are responsible for controlling physical access to the device where your local data is stored.

6. Data retention and deletion

Local data remains until you delete it in the app or uninstall the app. If you use Cloud Sync and want your cloud data deleted, contact us at the email below and we will delete your account data.

7. Children

LPOS is a business tool intended for shop owners and staff. It is not directed at children.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
